Mountains of dirt!

We went to our block this morning and saw mountains of soil which we're wondering what for - is this for the site excavation? anyone? :)

Anyway, here are some photos we've taken..

    After they clear the block and dig/fill the piers with concrete, they spread that soil over the block. Not exactly sure what the purpose was. I thought it could maybe be the termite barrier? not sure.

    Thanks for that :) hmmm they actually have ou the soil already but hasn't cleaned the site yet... Anyway, I've been told materials will be delivered today, I think I'm close to finding the answer.. lol the wait is killing me :)
